Academic Programme Overview
At New Edition School (NES), we are proud to offer a comprehensive dual-curriculum approach that integrates the Ghana Education Service (GES) syllabus with the internationally respected Oxford International Curriculum. This unique blend ensures our learners are well-equipped with the academic, creative, and critical thinking skills needed to thrive both locally and globally. From Crèche to Junior High School (JHS), our programmes are thoughtfully designed to meet the national educational standards while embracing global perspectives and methodologies.

Crèche & Nursery
Our Crèche and Nursery programmes provide a warm, nurturing, and secure environment tailored for early childhood development. Using a combination of GES Early Childhood Learning outcomes and the Oxford International Early Years Curriculum, we promote emotional, social, language, and motor skills through play-based learning, guided exploration, and responsive care.

Kindergarten (KG1 & KG2)
Our Kindergarten programme builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning by integrating GES learning goals with the Oxford International Early Years Curriculum. Through phonics, early numeracy, storytelling, songs, and interactive activities, learners begin to build literacy, numeracy, creative thinking, and social responsibility in a fun and stimulating environment.

Primary School (Grades 1–6)
At the Primary level, students benefit from a balanced curriculum that combines the GES Basic Education syllabus with the Oxford International Primary Curriculum. This ensures not only strong academic progress in core subjects but also develops inquiry-based learning and global awareness. Subjects include:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Science (Theory and Practical)
- ICT (Information & Communication Technology)
- French
- Creative Arts & Design
- Physical & Health Education
- Global Perspectives (Oxford International)

Junior High School (JHS 1–3)
Our JHS programme is designed to prepare students rigorously for both the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and for global academic standards. We implement a curriculum that merges the depth of the GES Core Subjects with the Oxford Lower Secondary Curriculum to give our students a competitive edge. Focus areas include:
- Advanced academic content aligned with both GES and Oxford
- Inquiry-based learning and critical thinking development
- Regular project work, debates, and research
- Strong emphasis on ICT integration
- Comprehensive exam preparation strategies and time management skills
- Internal and external assessments benchmarked to both systems
This dual pathway enables students to pursue future academic opportunities within Ghana or internationally with confidence and competence.
