New Edition School (NES) is committed to providing quality education rooted in academic excellence, character formation, and global competence. Our Admissions Policy ensures a transparent, inclusive, and merit-based process for enrolling students from Crèche to Junior High School (JHS). This policy outlines the procedures, criteria, and expectations for prospective students and their families.
Levels of Admission
NES admits students into the following levels:

Crèche & Nursery

Kindergarten (KG1 & KG2)

Primary (Basic 1–6)

Junior High School (JHS 1–3)
Each level is supported by a dual curriculum framework comprising the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum and the Oxford International Curriculum.
Eligibility Criteria
Admissions are open to all children, regardless of race, religion, gender, or nationality, provided they:

Meet the age and academic level requirements.

Demonstrate readiness for the NES learning environment.

Successfully complete all required assessments and interviews (for Primary and JHS).
Admission Procedure
1. Purchase and Submission of Application Form
Prospective parents may:

2. Document Submission
Applicants must provide:

Completed admission form
-
Copy of birth certificate or passport

2 recent passport-sized photographs
-
Previous academic records (for Primary & JHS)

Immunization/Health record
3. Assessment & Interview

Crèche & Nursery: Informal parent-child interview

Kindergarten: Basic readiness assessment

Primary & JHS: Written placement exams (English, Math, and General Knowledge) + oral interview
4. Decision & Notification

Admission decisions are communicated within 3–5 working days.

Successful applicants will receive an admission letter, fees schedule, and orientation details.
5. Enrollment & Orientation

Parents must confirm admission by paying the required fees.

Students and parents will attend a brief orientation session before school begins.
Admission Period
Admissions are open year-round, subject to space availability. However, main intakes occur:

August – September (for start of academic year)

January – February (mid-year intake)
International & Transfer Students
Students from international schools or those transferring from other institutions are welcome. NES offers placement support and curriculum alignment to ensure a smooth academic transition.
